A photo of a worn part in.
An answer an engineer signs off out.
Ordotech is the sales and engineering platform for industrial suppliers. Its first module, Plant Advisor, reads a technician's photos of a worn or failed component, identifies the equipment, diagnoses the wear and recommends products from the supplier's own approved catalog. Every request reaches the right salesperson, and an engineer reviews every answer before a quote goes out.

- …Engineer sign-offpendingThe plant sees the result as preliminary until then
When a liner wears through, the plant calls the supplier. Then the guessing starts.
Suppliers of wear plates, hardfacing and consumables sell into plants where a failed component means downtime. The first answer depends on who picks up the phone, and the expertise sits with a few senior engineers.
- Photos arrive by phone, email or a messaging app, with half the context missing.
- A sales engineer goes back and forth to work out the material, temperature and impact.
- Two engineers can give two different answers to the same photo.
- Enquiries from new plants sit in a shared inbox and never reach the right salesperson.
- The safe recommendation wins over the longer-lasting one, so the plant is back sooner than it should be.
- The technician takes guided photos and answers a few questions written by the supplier's own engineers.
- The equipment, the wear mechanism and its severity are worked out the same way every time.
- Recommendations come only from the supplier's approved catalog, with the data-sheet fields that justify them.
- Territory rules assign every request a sales owner the moment it arrives.
- An engineer approves or corrects every answer, and each correction makes the next answer better.
From a photo on the plant floor to a quote, in four steps.
The plant gets a first answer while the technician is still at the part. Your engineers stay in charge of every answer that goes out.

Photograph and answer
The technician takes a few guided photos on their phone and answers short questions your engineers wrote. There's no app to install.

2Plant Advisor
Identify and diagnose
Plant Advisor works out what the equipment is, how it is wearing and how badly, and gives the same answer for the same evidence.
-
3Plant Advisor
Recommend from your catalog
It suggests products you sell and have approved, each with a reason taken from its data sheet, and routes the request to the right salesperson.

Sign off and quote
An engineer approves or corrects the answer. The sales owner follows up and sends the quote.
One platform from the first photo to the signed quote.
Plant Advisor is where the request starts. The rest of the platform helps your sales team price it, quote it and record it in the systems you already run.
Plant Advisor
BuildingTurns a photo of a worn part into a diagnosis and a recommendation from your approved catalog, and routes it to the right salesperson.
Competitor price check
PlannedBefore a quote goes out, compares your price with competitors' prices for equivalent products, so sales can price to win without guessing.
Quote agent
PlannedDrafts the quote from the approved recommendation. The salesperson edits anything before it's sent, so the final word is always theirs.
ERP integration
LaterConnects to the supplier's ERP, so approved quotes, orders and customer records flow through without typing them in twice.
Built for a sale where a wrong answer costs a plant a shutdown.
A chatbot over a folder of data sheets can name a product that doesn't exist or doesn't fit. Plant Advisor is designed so that it can't.
It never recommends something you don't sell.
Every recommendation comes from your own catalog and must fit the job on paper: the wear, the temperature and the formats you offer. Each one comes with the reason, in terms your engineers recognise.
Drafts never reach a customer.
Plant Advisor uses only the products and know-how your engineers have approved. A new product can be recommended as soon as it is approved.
When it isn't sure, it says so.
When the photos or answers aren't enough, the plant is told an engineer will assess it, and no products are shown. Otherwise the plant sees the answer labelled preliminary until an engineer approves.
Tested on real photos of worn parts.
We test every change on real photos of worn parts and compare it with simpler approaches. We publish accuracy and speed only after we have measured them.
One system for the plant, the engineer and the salesperson.
Plant technician
Photographs the part, answers a few questions and sees the result as it's ready. Can call or message the supplier's contact in one tap.
New plant
A plant that isn't a customer yet sends photos and contact details. The equipment is identified from the photos.
Engineer
Reviews each ticket with the photos, the diagnosis and the reasoning behind it, then approves or corrects it. An assistant answers questions about the ticket.
Sales owner
Gets notified the moment a request in their territory arrives, tracks its sales status and sends the quote.
Starting with wear protection. Built for every product family a supplier sells.
Each product family is set up with the supplier's own engineers, so their expertise becomes the standard answer. Adding a family doesn't mean rebuilding the product.
Also on the roadmap: requests over messaging apps and more languages.

Measured results
Accuracy and time to first answer, measured on real photos.
I grew up around my father's business, Reli Tec Services, which has connected Indian plants with industrial suppliers for 20 years: building the client relationships, keeping them, and sourcing the parts. I've seen how slowly a worn part turns into a quote, and how much depends on one senior engineer picking up the phone.
So I designed and built the platform myself. It's tested, it runs on a phone, and my first demo, with an Indian manufacturer, is being rescheduled. Suppliers win plants on trust in their engineers, so I'm building a product that keeps those engineers in charge of every answer instead of replacing them.
